Rockmount
A Denver shirt company whose own history begins in 1946 and whose designs became part of Western wear’s commercial vocabulary.
Rockmount’s company history dates the founding of Rockmount Ranch Wear Manufacturing Company in Denver to 1946 and credits Jack A. “Papa Jack” Weil with the venture. It describes snap fronts, sawtooth pockets, diamond snaps and a larger family business built from Wazee Street. The Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum supplies a wider historical frame: in postwar America, it says, commercial manufacturers including Rockmount launched embellished shirts as demand for fancy Western clothing outgrew the capacity of rodeo tailors alone.
